Default Southwest MO Needs An LS1 Tune

My inaugural post

Like title says:

I live in southwest, Missouri. Springfield, specifically.
I need a tune... really looking for a dyno tune.
Because...
231/237 TSP cam goes in my '02 SS in 3 weeks.

Thanks for any help, I appreciate it.

PS - I'm also not looking to get raped Ed Wright style by forking over $650.

sent you a pm

If I were you and know what I know now after a poor tune for $450, bite the bullet and buy HP Tuners and/or LS1/Edit with EFILive.

Then do a mail-order tune, work with the mail-order tuner and when you get real close on the tune (driveability, af, idle quality etc.), then dyno to measure AF with a wide band to maximize rwhp.

In the long run, unless you find an excellent tuner, you will be money ahead.
HP Tuners is $500. It comes with a scanner and tuner whereas Edit is just a tuner and EFIlive is a scanner.

People with 98s still have to go with LSEdit and EFIlive, since HPtuner and 98 version isn't out yet (but will be soon).

If I were you, I'd buy EDIT or the HP tuner and get a mail order tune from Texas Speed. Then I can help you with the fine tuning on the dyno if you want. I just live 30 min. away.

I picked up 20 hp / 20 tq with tuning on the dyno after my head install.
