Car not taking gas

Car not taking gas I have searched a lot on here and google, but no definitive answers any help is appreciated.
2000 WS6 H/C/I/42lb injectors, bolt-ons, etc....
Car through a the Po440 code on the way to work (car was on empty)
Three hours later went to crank and had a real hard time cranking
Went to gas station and it wouldn't fill at all
Researched.. replaced gas cap, purge valve on drivers side intake and still nothing.
Had hard time cranking, so I swapped fuel relay and car fired up instantly (not sure if coincidence)
I was able to put gas in with gas can not pump.
Wondering if fuel relay could cause that or is that coincidence?
Is this a sign of pump going bad? (104K on stock pump)
