Default 2000 camaro ss help

So i just bought a 2000 ss and am finding all kinds of things wrong with it from the previous owner. Working on getting it back into shape and was looking for some assistance. I snagged a picture off the internet and circled two things my car is missing and was wondering exactly what they are and what they do. 2000 camaro ss help-22369900012_large.jpg

Thank you.

A few more, these two are from my car. Second one is a plug by the shifter that I can not find a male side for.

The first thing you have circled on the airlid is the air pump hose inlet. The previous guy most likely deleted the system. The second thing circled is the Intake air temperature sensor. It looks as if you have a 5 pin 85mm maf from the picture you provided of your engine bay which incorporates the iat sensor into it. confirm that going into the maf the connector has 5 wires on it. I'll have to get back to you on the shifter console plug in. I wouldn't worry too much about that one though.

I concur on the hose that would normally go to the side of the intake lid. From the picture of your engine bay, it looks like the entire AIR system was removed as the hose makes its way over the top of the driver-side fender (I'm assuming it has headers then as well).

Do you have a check engine light?

Try to follow where that connector goes to and ull have ur answer, it looks like the previous owner did a lot of work on the car and may have done some of his own wiring, that looks like the 4 wire connector that goes to a O2 sensor... Maybe a wideband? But you honestly won't know till I follow it

Sorry for the late reply, didn't realize I had any more comments on this post. Yes it has headers and the check engine light is on although I'm not sure what for just yet. Working on getting it read off but everywhere in Hawaii charges a hundred to scan it so I'm waiting on my own ODB2 scanner to come in the mail.

As far as I know, it has always been A manual transmission though it was apparently swapped for a different transmission that wasn't originally for that car. I'll look up the code when I get home.

Really hope he didn't do too much more of his own wiring than what I have already ripped out and corrected. The guy had live 3 different live wires behind the dash just laying on the carpet not insulated soooo he clearly didn't know what he was doing.
