Default Broke T-56 Temperature Sensor

I accidentally snapped the plastic two-pin connector off the T-56 temperature sensor, located at the passenger side rear of the transmission. Can I replace that sensor with a standard engine coolant sensor, and either way, what part number would you recommend?

Presently considering a
Delphi TS10075 Delphi TS10075
.

Thanks!

Looks like the sensor specifically for the trans shows AC Delco 12458118($70). Im honestly not sure what the difference is from a regular coolant temp sensor though except maybe the output signal to the computer.

After doing some more research, they are not the same. The crazy thing is that the parts websites show AC Delco 213-928, 213-4396, and Delphi TS10076 as being compatible, despite the fact at least one of those sensors has a difference impedance than the other two.

Thanks for the information. I picked one up from Amazon--just in time for Friday delivery.

Transmission temperature sensor arrived tonight. Looks identical to broken one. Installed it. If you don't hear back from me tonight, it worked correctly.
