6.69@217 new world records, lsx shout win and videos! Last weekend in Indianapolis we showed up for the LSX shootout hoping to be able to lay down some good passes and hopefully set some new records. If you were there, you weren't dissapointed with what came next!
In testing I only made 1 hit... we made a soft 1/8th mile hit and clicked it off running 4.51@172 to the 1/8th mile and coasting to an easy 7.0@166 in the 1/4 mile.
Later that day Q1 came up and we blasted off a 6.72@219 in the 1/4 with incrementals that looked like this... 1.18/3.045/4.48@172.81!
Q2 was better with a 6.70@218 and Q3 would seal it up with a 6.69@217.84 with incrementals of 1.178/3.011/4.44@172.39
We qualified #1 so we got a bye the first round and only needed to beat a 7.89 for Lane choice... after an aggressive hit on the line I spun, pedaled, and recovered to run out a 7.40 to grab lane choice.
E2 brought us up against the defending champion Mike Brown of the Ohio boys who had gone 6.99 in qualifying making him the 3rd ever LS DR to run 6's... Off the hit we pulled the wheels and after a quick pedal to bring the front down I blasted down the track to a 6.96@2XX for the win.
The Finals were a whole different story... in E2 we broke a stock part in the torque tube so my crew had ripped the car completely appart and changed the stock part and reassembled the car in record time. We pulled up and were ready to race!
The run in the finals was great, from the reaction time to the ET we won the race end to end with the competition placing their car on the bumper because of way too much power trying to keep up with us. I clicked the car off at 1000' and coasted to a 6.82@203 for the overall win!
We had a great time and I got to see a bunch of people that I usually only see online. Thanks to all those that supported us and thanks a ton to those that came out, watched, and bought t-shirts or posters!

Wheelies make for awesome pics Mark. I shared it on our fb page soon as I saw it. Awesome shot. Nice work guys on the new record. I'm sure there is more to come. The car hasn't even been back long and already breaking old records. Looking forward to seeing more.
