Default The Most Accurate 2015 Ford Mustang Rendering Yet

It's said to be very close to the real thing. Based on the spy shots taken so far of the car, I'm not one to disagree.

We're thrilled to present to you the most life-like and accurate preview yet of the production base-model 2015 Mustang, skillfully rendered by Mustang6G resident artist, chazcron!

What makes these images different than any before it is that they are not the result of speculation, but refined from CAD images of the actual car, with our various spy photos used as a starting point. What you see here is a digitally accurate preview of the base 2015 Mustang; and we think it's quite a looker.

The production front end design comes as no surprise as it was shown in unfinished form in these earlier spy photos. What's new however, is that we can now show an accurate preview of the production rear. The most distinguishing elements are the distinctive louvered tail lights and the triangular framed reverse/fog lights in the lower rear bumper. The new Mustang gets a sleeker overall silhouette with an angled fastback rear roofline which extends deep into the trunk lid and a slightly rounded rear valence to give the car a sportier appearance.

One design feature that is new to Mustangs and not yet reflected in this model is a shallow double-bubble roof that would only be slightly visible from these angles. This will be shown on renders to come. Overall, Ford designers have kept its restyled 50th Anniversary pony car quintessentially Mustang in looks, but breathed many modern elements into the new model.

When will we be able to see this render brought to life by Ford? Our sources have indicated that we will see the S550 in December with the car being teased in the next couple of months. So stay tuned Mustang fans, it's going to be an exciting end of the year!

Big thanks to chazcron for his amazing skill and hard work!

Default I like it

Well I guess I'll be in the minority but I like it. Still looks like a Mustang without being gimmicky or silly. Not beautiful but it looks practical, with windows you can actually see out of. I was worried that it was going to look like the Toyota Celica-looking concepts but it still has an American pony car.

Hope Chevy does as good a job on the next Camaro.

I agree that it looks very bland and boring. Some will say simpler is better than the current version but I think it should have at least a little bit of aggressiveness to it and this doesn't. Not to mention it having a 4 banger. Glad I'm not a Ford guy.

Based on what I've seen and heard I think that if you really want a new Mustang that a new 2013 or 2014 would be the one to get. The 2014 will probably mark the end of an era for the car with it's live axle, purely classic style and focus on being purely muscle.

looks to me like a mustang, a charger, and possibly a A5 had a gang bang and this is the culmination of all the bland parts into one child

I think it looks pretty good. It's a nice clean platform that Ford and the aftermarket can spice up.

Mach 1's, Boss', Cobra's, etc will not look so "plain Jane."

If you look back on a stock 2005 v6 'stang you would say it is plain and boring, but look at the '13 GT's and Shelby's and it's impossible to say that it hasn't come a long way.

Yeah that sums it up pretty well. I also see a Nissan 350z roof line/upper rear quarter in there too.

Looks kinda cool, but I would never look at this car and think Mustang.

I mean its not bad, just doesn't scream sports/ muscle car. But I agree with the 05 base being the same. I'm sure the boss/cobra/gt500 will look way more aggressive.

I'll be damned, they actually made a mustang more boring looking than the Fox Body. It's like they targeted all the parts that made the last one look all right and replaced them with the most dull and unremarked able alternative to them.
