Default bosch 044 and 3/8 lines.

thought id ask you guys I bought a bosch 044 pump for my lq4 turbo build and I am going to run 1/2 line thru a filter to my pump then 3/8 feed to 3/8 fuel rail then a 3/8 return as well . just wondering if you guys think I will have a problem. the pump has a -6 outlet and I want to run factory type nylon line a quick disconnects. thanks

by the way im feeding a lq4 with a tc78 mild build with 80# injectors.

gasoline or corn? I ran 1/2 from pump to rails and 3/8 return with gas and e85 and I was probably making 700ish horse before I bent rods on the e85 setup. it was holding good afr's so I personally don't think it will matter what you use. 3/8 should be plenty for that tc78 but if you plan on going big then I would just do it once

I run that pretty much exactly(-6 feed and return and 044) except 72# injectors. Its an ly6 with a pt7675. My car goes 112mph in the 1/8th at 2850 lbs and is at 74-78% duty cycle the whole way down the track. afr is ~11.0. Wallace calc shows 588whp supposedly.

This is gasoline with 10% methanol added in, so I'd probably be around 72% on straight gasoline.

thanks . it sounds like it will get me started with boost and I can change it later if I push it and it cant keep up.the nylon line is cheap and I think 600 rwhp should get me where I want to run

We've used 3/8 line at over 850rwhp on e85 on several setups, the line won't be a restriction. Set it up so you can run two 044 pumps and be done with it.

How much rwhp would a single 044 support with 1/2 line to rails and 3/8 return? On pump?... On E85?

Reason I ask, I'm trying to decide on what to do with my 72 Camaro tank... do an external 044, or do an in-tank setup...

Thoughts?

Thanks (Sorry if this is hijacking your thread any)...

Where is the supply coming from ? Gravity or another pump ?

1/2" pre-pump provided it is good free flowing and gravity fed would be ok, and use a decent filter.

The pump outlet is M12x1.5. So how do you intend to hook this up to a hard nylon tube ? Just do it safely.

the 1/2 feed is gravity from the cell . the outlet is a -6 looks like the 25' line I bought is a little short so I am going to use it as the return and have a 1/2 fuel injection hose with hyd ends crimped on for the feed and be done with it. I don't want to worry about it.
