Default Randomly stuck in 4th

Ive had my 02 c5z a little over a year now. And about 6 months into owning it. I was driving on the interstate and had to slow down to about 35-40 mph. When i tried to speed up and shift to 5th it was stuck. So after playing with the shifter and surging on the gas i finally get it to come out of 4th by wiggling the shifter while doing about 70-75. Problem doesn't happen again for a while, then after recently changing to my new monster 3 clutch my buddy and i are driving out to the track and the same thing happens. Managed to get out of gear the same way. Ran the car at the track and had no problems while a the track or on the drive home. Then it happened again on the drive home from eating dinner last night got it out the same way. Keep in mind this happened during normal driving, not during hard acceleration or after a hard shift. The car has 26k miles on it, and i try to cycle the clutch fluid regularly. My brother has an 02 with 45k miles same clutch and hasnt had this issue.

When i had this issue with my 99 T/A (similar but not the same tranny) it was because the 3-4 shift fork was bent and was sticking when trying to shift out of 4th gear. Don't know if this is your case, but sounds similar.

Whats odd is it randomly does it under normal driving. If im in it shifting hard its fine. And it will do it one day then wont for months.

Whats really odd is that you pulled the transmission to install a new clutch but didnt bother getting the trans looked at while it was already out of the car lol...

Its probably a broken key inside the 3-4 slider syncro assembly.
