Default Intake/tune 5.0 vs Stock C7 Vette

Buddy of mine with an intake and tune 5.0 with factory 3.73s which put down 425/405 against a bone stock C7 with about 100 miles on it. He only had the vette for a day so he's obviously still getting used to the car.

Vette missed 3rd both races or it would have been pretty bad for the 5.0. Pretty impressive C7 considering the 5.0 is a solid 117mph car.

The C7 came by hard on the last run! More seat time and the race would have been ugly for sure. I don't see how you can miss 3rd two times in a row though lol.

Thanks for sharing.

Video would have you thinking the C7 is a 120-122mph car judging by the pull but i think it was more of weight aero and gearing that killed it once the race went well past the triple digits...

Seems like they ran them out pretty good.

it's my understanding that a intake/tune 5.0 can run neck and neck with a LS3 C6 from a roll...

If that's true then the C7 should walk the crap out of a stock ls3 C6

i cant wait for people to get more seat time in these Vettes, that was a good race though. i really like that POV in the Mustang.

No offense to your friend...but where the hell did he dyno? 425whp with intake, x pipe, and tune? My buddies gt made 419whp with an aed tune, x pipe, air intake, boss intake, axleback, and dropping weight in the drivetrain through 3.31 gears. He made 404 before the boss intake.

I wish I could "not act" like an adult and splurge on a c7.

I raced my c6 the day after I got it.

Took my manual 5.0 to track 2 weeks after having it

and put a blower/boss intake/x pipe/lowering springs on my suto 5.0 day brought it home.

That's damn impressive for the C7, considering a intake/tune/exhaust 5.0 is a pretty tough contender.
