Default M29 with different 5-6 possible?

Is it possible to put the 5-6 gears from either an MM6 or M12 in the M29? The 4th gear in my M29 is acting up and if I have to end up doing a rebuild, I would like to put the M12 5-6 gears in if possible.

Yep. 94-02 F / Viper parts give you gto 5/6 ratios using your stock countershaft ext.

Ok, so my car decided to stick in 4th yesterday and didn't want to go into any other gear but neutral and 4th, limping it home, I was able to finally get it out and drove home fine using the other 5 gears (avoiding 4th again). After doing some searching on the interwebz it appears that a key may have broke? Either way, I guess it's time to tear it down, so I figured that now is the time to get the better 5-6 gear ratio, hopefully the GTO .84/.55 ratios. Is this possible, and if so what parts do I need?
Also, what else do I need to replace/upgrade while I'm in there? (Already have steel shift fork) Thanks!
