Default Well this is odd.. S60 bent axle?

After meeting the wife for lunch, we're headed back home and I'm behind her in my truck when I notice the left rear wheel has a rather noticeable wobble to it which is somewhat alarming. I removed the rear wheel thinking maybe the Weld rim is bent, had her start the car with the tail up and roll it in gear. I do see a little lateral movement of the rotor when watching it pass through the pads, but it didn't appear to be excessive. It wasn't until l I tucked my head up in the well and looked behind the rotor at the hub and sure enough, I do see some small movement there around the axle tube collar. I did go ahead and mount my stock C6 rim to the same corner just to make sure I'm not crazy and sure enough, it too displays some good lateral wobble at slow speeds.

So, am I right in assuming this is likely a bent axle? Anything else I might be overlooking? Seems rather odd that a Strange rear/axle combo would bend with a measly 500whp but maybe its something else altogether..

Did you have to return your axles for them to test? They asked me to send mine back so they could test them and if they're found to be faulty then they'll replace them, if not, then I'd have to buy new ones.

Dang.. Why must there be horror stories on every $3000 rear end out there. I'm looking to buy one, but every time you open the forums one of the top brands is having problems.

Doubt that. More like it wasn't heat treated correctly.
