Default Are injectors good for e85 if I'm currently at 60% duty cycle

Just a quick question. I want to go ahead and start using e85 on my 408 while I finish up my turbo set up. I'm currently at 60% duty cycle at wot on 42# injectors. Just want to know if I'll be good with these injectors. And any idea how much more power I can squeeze out going e85? Last dyno I made 511rwhp on motor

Great, thanks. I'll check it out now.

And sorry if I'm confusing anyone. I know I need much larger injectors when I do go turbo. But what I ment was I want to use e85 on all motor for now and wondering if the injectors would be ok for e85 all motor

i would say no, and what pump do you have providing fuel to those 42#?

Default injectors

they would probably just work and wear out or fail. The 60# is a work horse and can handle future upgrade. with a pump /booster they wil get the fuel to the top in more than dyno pulls. this is for gas and meth . E85 has to supply like 30% more fuel. 85# is more the fit. Yes they can be scaled down to gas.
just my opinion

Ok so say e85 uses 30% more fuel. And my injectors are currently using 60% of their potential. And you don't want to go over 85% right? And you would think 60+30=90 but it's not. 30% of 60% is 18%. So with my injectors working 18% harder I'm should then be at 78% duty cycle.

Unless there is another reason why they won't work. Just seeing if I'm over looking something.

I'm not worried about the pump or fueling. That's handled

Yes they would be ok for the time being. Just dont push any harder.

although different injectors can behave differently at higher duties. Some wont like over 80% or so, some will still be quite happy at 95%

But given length of time at these duties would be pretty low, it isnt a major issue unless you intend doing lots of top speed runs, or holding max load/rpm for extended periods.

i take a major risk everytime i lay out a car at WOT on the street for a quarter tank with law. I still do it from timt to time. I do not want to loose power or break. Go to a pro pay the man. you will win in the end.

pushing anything to the limit insures breakage. at least now the take outs are marketable to offset new ..

kind of like going over 7psi on boost on stock ls1's. it is only one bad tank from a broken ring land.

I guess I'll try it and see how it does. If I'm over 90% I'll switch back to gas. Thanks for all the info guys
