Default PCM- red/blue connector

I am starting my second swap. Putting an 06 4.8L/4L60E in a 76 C10 for a friend. The engine came out of a van with a 4l80, so the place he bought the engine from sent a PCM and harness for a 4l60e. It is DBC with a red/blue connector PCM. I don't know what year the PCM is, there seems to be a few extra connectors in the harness that are not used on this engine. I also found the oil pressure connector and MAF connectors are different.

My question is.... Are all the red/blue connector PCMs the same? Are all the pinouts the same?

If it's from a 99-02 Truck it'll be pinned the same. Only difference is the 4L80E wiring has no Pin in Blue 79, and has two extra in RED 22 & 23 for the ISS.

Oil Pressure is either the three wire one, or the one wire.
MAF is the older Black 85mm MAF, or the larger Connector for the newer style Card MAF.

The 99-02 Truck Harnesses are pinned damn near identical to the 99-02 LS1 Fbody Wiring..

http://www.lt1swap.com/wiringharness.htm

look up the information at that web page. he literally has WIRE BY WIRE.. IF you need any other information to verify or ask about changing, just email him. He is usually pretty good at getting responses out quickly. Plus he flashes the PCM for the CHEAPEST of ANYONE!!! $75 and that includes return shipping back to you.

The harness looks almost exactly like the harness I did for my 03 4.8 DBW, except for the throttle body connectors. Does the 06 van use the old red/blue connector as it is a DBC! I have no doubt I can make it work, Just a little curious.

DBC were red/blue, I thought DBW was red/green? I would think 06 would be DBW

according to oreillyauto.com, the 06 2500 6.0 was electronic throttle body, or DBW..

All express vans from 2003-2006 were drive by cable.

My 03 4.8 Silverado PCM is DBW and has green/blue connectors. The 06 4.8 from the van is DBC and the PCM they gave me has red/blue connector.

Pretty sure an 06 van should have green/blue connectors even being DBC. Sounds like you have a 99-02 truck harness.

The older harness should work just fine. Everything plugged in and except for a few extra connectors I don't know where they go. the only differance is the oil pressure and MAF. Just going to pick those up. I'm going to keep the PCM close to where it was mounted in the newer pickup, so I shouldn't have a whole lot of work to do with the rewire. Just add some fuses and relays.

Quick Reply: PCM- red/blue connector
