2000 Regal vs another 03 Cobra

2000 Regal vs another 03 Cobra Was driving to my friend's house to finish up my new catback. It's a 30 minute ride, all highway. At this point, my downpipe fed into a resonator and then a turndown on the other side as we hadn't finished the Y to duals and mufflers yet.
So I'm just MMOB and this 03 Cobra comes whining past me. Naturally I was excited, 03 Cobra owners are typically a special breed of fun to race against for me.
So I catch up to him and I'm signaling him to hit it, but he's not having it. So he rolls down his window and screams "You're kidding me right?". No sir, I wasn't kidding. He was being kind of a douche (big surprise right?) and so I turned to the proven method of getting Mustang owners to take the bait. I asked him how much the blower kit for his 6 cylinder cost him. Right away he was pissed. Winning. He's like, "This is a ******* COBRA you retard!". I was like, are you sure? Cuz it looked like a 6 banger when it flew by me before. At this point we were rolling at about 45 mph so we could hear each other, he was obviously upset that I thought he was in a 6 cylinder Mustang.
I said I didn't believe him and to prove it, so he downshifts and floors it. Since I'm experienced with the underhanded tricks of most Mustang drivers, I was in gear, waiting. I take off after him and reel him in easy. Bring it up to about 120 and I'm a solid 2-3 cars in front.
He does a fly by and keeps going. Not before I managed to stick 6 fingers up at him. He was not a happy guy. The car had exhaust and a pulley, could tell by the pitch of the blower.
I was satisfied after that one

I am really surprised that people (like the guy in the Cobra) can be that clueless though.
If someone pulls along side with a car that is not "known" to be a performance car, wouldn't you at least question in your own head what can be done to this thing? Seems like common sense to me!
There are just too many "unsuspecting" cars out there today that are small ci, quiet, and boosted that will put a hurting on most so called "performance" cars.
I figured out long ago to lose the ego since it only hurts more when you get your *** handed to you by a car that you think you should beat easily.

It seems like for every person I meet that is like you, I meet 100+ that are total asshats.
Finding cool people in this hobby is becoming nearly impossible.
