Aaron's 5.3 turbo 64 Impala SS Hey guys just thought I'm share my build with y'all since I primarily rely on this site for parts and information. Long story short this is about the fourth time I've rebuilt my impala. I got it when I was 15 am I am now 30. Its been a frame off restoration (twice) and will be on its third power plant. Previously I had a 95 LT1 with a CC 503 cam and various other bolt ons. The car on it previous frame was equiped with air bags (big mistake) which led to a new powder coated frame and the LT1. The LT1 was great but I grew bored and needed a new project. My good buddy Jake over at classicdaily.net talked me into a Turbo 5.3. I'm in the process of building the engine right now. ARP main studs and rod bolts, TU1 cam, dual comp springs, and hardened push rods. That's really as far as I've gotten so far. I plan on doing a 9" with a grizzly locker and 35 spline axles. I have yet to decide what Turbo I'm going with and I am open to suggestions. Not planing on anything crazy just something I can't take out and have some fun with!
