Default V1 launch

For those of you cutting low 2.0 60 foots and better, how are you guys launching the car? What tires? What psi? And what mods do you have?

I cut 1.9. Nitto nt555 2900 feather it in. If I drop it it bogs.

Yeah, I have an 8.8 and I can drop it from 5k with my tires and it will bog. 5,500-6,000k it will just light em up . So it is all about slipping the clutch properly and feathering into it.
A skill that I'm slowly learning.

Super shitty tires and dropped around 2300- landed me an 1.88
275 Nitto 555 With G-Force axles dropped around 2300-1.95
That was making 365 to the wheels
When I was making 445 it was bog or spin no matter what

I had Hoosiers but never put them on... Sold those and picked up some toyo proxes r888.. Going to try a 2500-3000 clutch slip and see how it does...I'll honestly be happy with a low 2.0 or high 1.9

I drop my Toyo Proxes T1R's to 18 psi cold. Cut a 1.7x with bald ones (just before steel belts showing) by feathering the clutch and throttle from a 2000 rpm start. Mild 1 to 3 second burnout by dumping the clutch at 2000 rpm and running it up to 4500 rpm.

My traction/stability control is never on.

And the rear end will explode. In all honesty, first gear is like my "go sideways" gear. I can't even imagine how you guys are holding traction without some nice tires. 285mm Ventus V12s certainly won't hold first gear torque.

Should have got the Pilot Super Sports. They barely chirp and have real good traction for street tires.
Although I am still stock.

Honestly I didn't think it was hard to 'launch' on my only two track passes. I'm only saying that because I was content to get a 2.1x. Taking it to the 1.8x range like many cars can do stock just by punching the automatic is not an easy thing to consistently do with the car. When I've tried a few launches on the street a little harder than I did at the track I got the hop.

2500 and a controlled drop of the clutch whiling leaning into the gas. No noticeable spin or hop and barely bogged at all. 2.11 and 2.17. I wasn't looking to risk anything. stock size hankook ventus tires in the back. The key IMO is not to ride it too much to let the rpms to climb because then you'll get bad hop when the clutch fully hooks in the meat of the powerband.
