Default Derp...LS Newb here...with a '71 Camaro.

Hello all....I'm starting to familiarize myself with the process of installing a LS engine in my '71 Camaro.

I have an all iron BB 396SS in there with a 3/4 race cam (just kidding) that runs great but I want the tuneability, gas mileage, and weight savings of a LS....plus...the LS just looks so good under the hood.

I'm looking into the differences between buying a ready-to-rock LS2 vs. buying a LQ4 and building it up myself (l92 heads, intake, etc).

Thanks in advance for humoring me in future posts.

Nice ride! And good luck with the build which ever way you decide to go. Check out my thread I've got a 75 camaro I'm putting in a 5.3. Also search members and find sevitz, he's got an awesome build thread. And on nasty z look up themeat, another good swap build. I'm sure there's a lot more that will chime in to
help.
