i have a 5.3 shortblock, was in a running car that had the injector stick open on #1, basically hydrolocked it on startup and bent the #1 rod. everything else is good. could use it for parts or put 1 rod (I have the piston, rings and bearings for #1) and have a cheap shortblock. comes just as you see it, I can add front/rear covers and valley cover for a few extra bucks if you need them

not to change the subject but I had the same thing happen recently and was wondering what caused the injector to stick.. wiring or dirt??

dirt or something - they were stitting around for almost 2 years (came off another car i worked on) so i just tossed them in thinking they would be fine. in hindsight i probably should have cleaned them lol glad it was this and not a more expensive motor
