Default Head & cam packages by performance & cost

OK folks, let's put together a listing of head & cam packages by price. Let's not have long detailed responses, just the kit, what engine it works with (EG: LS1, LS2, LQ4, etc.) it's price and estimated/advertised level of power.

The purpose of this thread is to simplify the search for this information without having to search and read page after page of details so keep it simple.

Are you expecting someone to research all of the heads/cam packages out there with cost and power estimates, and then post it all here as a nice tidy easy to use directory?

All that information has already been researched a million times and is already available here in LS1tech.

I'm trying to make it easier for everyone to find this existing information without all the time needed to read through all the "what cam?" and "what heads?" threads.

Putting it into an easy to read condensed thread will improve and ease searching and the LS1tech database.

Paul,

Thanks for posting. We offer heads/cam packages for all late model GM platforms. Our most popular offering is our Trickflow/Vengeance Racing Package that starts at $2179.00

More information can be found here:

http://vengeanceracing.net/index.php...lications.html

Results will vary depending on cylinder head/camshaft selection as well as supporting bolt ons, but this package has proven to be one of the most reliable and consistent packages available for cathedral port applications.

This is an excellent idea for 2 reasons; the sponsors get to market their wares and it makes it much more simple for us new LS guys. Thanks for doing this.

Who knows, it could become the coveted sticky someday!

Hey Paul, thanks for the invite, great thread idea!

Our LS3 Small Bore Cylinder Heads are designed to work on the stock LS1 bore and offer great performance without breaking the bank. We offer 2 versions: Stage 1 (As Cast) and Stage 2 (CNC)

In back to back testing, bolting on a set of our Stage 1 heads shows a 48 HP gain to the wheels with no other changes.

Prices start at $1,299 for the pair.

More info here: http://ballisticspeedparts.com/shop/...6-ls2-engines/

Please don't think I'm being rude or cynical.

But isn't the idea of this thread to actually post your head+cam combos with details and not " all our combos can be found at blank dot com."

I only say this because I'm researching these items now and a thread like this would greatly help anyone researching like me.

Dan, hit up eps or tick performance, they can custom spec you a cam that will pass smog. thats the route i plan on going, along w/ some Advanced induction ported 243/799 and their ported fast either 102 or 92, not sure. I know tick has a cam already that passes smog, but they can probably do something a lil more aggressive especially if you plan on doing heads and intake.

You're quite right newbie!

Ryan at Ballistic gave us basic info, performance gain and cost in his post as well as a link.

Thanks to all sponsors but we're looking for a quick package overview within this thread, not just a link.

Hey Paul, this is a great thread idea. Is there a reason why it's in External Engine tho? Seems like this might get more hits in Internal, tho External sees it's fair share of visitors as well.

I think most people would say heads are bolt-on without getting into the internals of the engine-like pistons, rods & cranks.

It would be nice to see them all listed out in a post from the respective vendor instead of just a link. That would be cool.
