Question P4010 Secondary air problem

2002 Auto C5. I get a P4010 code on cold start. (I also got a 4011 code instead yesterday for the first time)

I removed the rubber hose feeding the drivers side one way valve to the exhaust manifold. Air was pulsing out of the rubber hose and exhaust gases were being contained OK. NO evidence of water. The air pump does shut of after about 90secs when cold and doesn't run when the engine is warm. I replaced the air pump relay (just becasue I had one). Still not traced the problem.

My conclusion is :
1) i need to investigate the passenger side one way valve, to see if it is working
2) The problem is an o2 sensor. But I don't fully understand the system. I would think the o2 sensors would be too cold at start up to sense the presence of additional air pump air. Is there an air pressure switch somewhere that tells the system the pump is working?

Any ideas?????
