We have semi-completed our testing on our "shop" CTS-V and are happy to offer the results to all of our LS1tech.com friends. Here is how it goes and why we did it in the steps we choose.
After initial testing on our low boost application and 490RWHP on 10PSI, we decided we wanted MORE out of this street machine. To achieve the boost and power we wanted for our car, we decided a forged pistons was now in order. We Removed the engine, transmission and rear end and decided to investigate the problems everyone is having with wheel hop and see what additional parts we could improve on the CTS-V. After much deliberation and R&D, we decided the only way to go to achieve the maximum horsepower we set our for and "Hopefully" the record for the most horsepower to date in a stock weight CTS-V, we added a 383CI LS6 engine with Forged Pistons, Crankshaft, stock camshaft and stock heads. After 1 weeks completion on dyno testing, drivability and R&D on parts we have made great numbers out of what we know as the first Procharged "Caddy". We achieved 524RWHP on 8PSI. Today we will be adding 3PSI and hope we can get this thing to make 560RWHP. We will be offering CTS-V kits in several stages. We have ordered some shocks for the "wheel hop" issues and hope that what we ordered will correct some of this problem. Once we know if this will work, what modifications need made and prices, we will post this information on the boards. If you would like us to post the detailed information on the stages and prices, please let us know. Until then, here is some information for you to ponder.
Stage 1 would include the procharger, tuning and installation and will make 455RWHP.
Stage 2 would include the procharger, tuning, forged pistons, installation and a new fuel system and will make 500RWHP.
Stage 3 would include the 383CI engine, procharger, tuning, installation and the fuel system and will make 550+ RWHP.
We are delighted to offer this great package to those who need more speed out of there CTS-V.
