That's actually the info on my car lol. We both have Maroon Mustangs, just mine's a GT and his is a Coupe. His race weight is around 2800# on the coupe.

I shot the videos posted above of his car. We both had a great day and ran identical 5.98's.

Here we are in the pits.

Lol, we get that from time to time. It's funny we're about the only ones in our area that run LS Mustangs.

His car works great, I gotta figure out how to tame mine down on the launch without sacrificing ET.

I get you guys cars mixed up all the time watching the videos!!!

Good job on yours too Benji! Time for that 408 and a Tick cam next!

BTW I added some brief details on the set-up in the first post. Nothing radical or extreme by any means.

Both of these cars continue to impress me. Mainly because they're not expensive builds.

As far as the 408, I go pick it up next week, but since it's so close the end of season, I think I'm gonna see how much I can wring out of the 6.0

Thats awesome! I have a very similar set up in my car, only fuel injected with a 4150 tb and damn close cam specs thanks to Martin @ Tick. I should be finished with it around the first of the year.

hey guys i have a question for ya. Im doing a 5.3 in my notch, it has L33 flat tops, nx3 cam, and ported 806 heads. My question to you guys (Windmill and streetknight and possibly martin from tick) is that i have 4.11 gears and a glide. I have a 4500 convertor but im not sure if that will work for me or if i will need to sell that and get something else. My cars going to have between a 250-275 shot on it.

What are youre thoughts on convertor choice?
Thanks

Try it first. Gearing sounds fine on a 250+ shot of nitrous.

If it slips excessively have it tightened up.

I've got several 5.3 customers in mustangs running high 9's on 200 shots of nitrous.

Finally got a video of mine. With a LOT of tuning I got a 5.99 out of it on a 53 jet.

Once Donovan get's his dialed in I think he can really improve upon his time as well.

I know he went 5.97@115 this weekend when you went 5.99 on the smaller jet as well.

Need to let him borrow that carb of yours Benji!

I've got one more race this weekend and I'm done for the year most likely. Then we can put the 950 on his. That car will go 5.70's easy once it's straightened out

I have to say this, those cars leave great. I would be thrilled to get an 8.0 (1/8th mile) out of my S-10 next year.
