Default Hugger Orange 99 Z

Just Purchased a 99 Z automatic, T tops, Never been repainted, 72,000 original mile car. Modified exhaust with electric cutout an a SLP air box cover, rest stock. I discovered, a strange thing while looking at the book while sitting in the car. I don't the little cubby hole box in front of the shift, instead according to the owner's manual the button that would be in the conv. model. I'm stumped, previous owner said is was there when he purchased the car and that he never fiddled with it. Any ideas?? possible a previous owner put it there for some strange reason?? Never owned a Camaro before, purchased it because of the Hugger Orange color and the factory Y3F option. Yes i did research before I purchased it seems to be a bit rare with optioms it has.

Are you talking about the little square hole left of the cig lighter? If so, all Camaro's came with that hole, unless you had the convet. model. Then the switch for the top would be there. Hope this helps.
