Default Underperforming le2's?

Is this normal times for le2s with a big 385 lt1 thumper cam on racecar 11.1:1 scr running citgo 93 racegas?

I'm the ***** car...

I don't get why the mph and time change so much? Is it from the better reaction timing?

You 60-330 shows you spun on the first run, second run shows you hooked but must have let off since your 1/8th mph was higher yet 1/4 was lower. Reaction has nothing to do with ET. You dynoed 385 IIRC, which is a bit low compared to some of the higher (12.5ish) compression AI 200 cars. I definately think the compression is holding you back.

The 60ft time . You spun or bogged or something on the first run.
look at the 1/8th mile, you were almost a full second faster on the second run.
The car is rolling out pretty good.

You should ditch those crappy stock castings and put on the LT4 top end kit, I think that should help.

Are you saying they are bad? The "Hotcam" is a solid performer and it should easily do +425rwhp

Cause aftermarket edelbrock stuff would be much better with like a GM847 for a pure "race" car.

It is pretty slow for the mods it has, maybe the race weight is too little?

Telling you, sell those lame nuggets and get yourself the LT4 topend kit, Summit says its guarenteed 440hp.

Then you will run like low 10s I think if you get a naws shot on it.

Did you slam on brakes before the 1/4 traps on the second pass?

Can't see a guarantee like that when you don't know how sharp the engine builder and tuner might be. Just because they will SUPPORT that much power certainly does not mean a given engine will make that much. More to it than having a local machine shop machine everything and bolting one together.

First pass I had 21 psi in the rears and spun, probably were a little cold too. Started hooking at 19 psi and a little more heat. That second slip I left the car in overdrive like a newb, heard it shift, and got out of it

The air was really good. I can't decide if I want to max this setup out or what....guess I have all winter to pile up boxes It was fun driving to the track, swapping wheels, running 10s, and driving home. Weight was like 3370 with me and around 3/4 tank. I thought it was pretty cool for little ole hand ported le2's.
