If I install an upgraded radio/head unit how will that affect the security system. I believe the stock radio communicates with the computer will changing to an after market unit will this have any affect? My 99 has the monsoon system if that makes any difference. Any input would be great.

If the 99 is anything like the 00 it wont.... I upgraded mine with no prob. The bcm does most of the security and the shock sensor is back in the hatch under one of the trim panels
