Default Quick question for you guys. 370|9.2:1 motor, TH400

I've been on Tech for some time, been reading A LOT and am finally about to start my build after dusting it off the shelf.

My motor is getting cleaned up at a machine shop, 370, 9.2:1 minus the heads. 317's with 5 layer gaskets, cleaned up with patriot duals with a TU2 cam.

Sticking behind it is a TH400 with a 3200 stall. I *THINK* it'll be a 28" tire? 315/35/18. I'm no tire guy, rims will be piano black Forgestar F14's, deep concave. 18/10 fronts, 18/11 rear.

Car isn't built yet, but motor is getting done and we'll be ripping into her shortly.

My question is, I have a T4 truck kit that was built by KYTP PRIOR to his mess. The turbo I currently have is a T4 TC78. I'm not sure that'll be enough, I know I want a BW unit, but not sure on what will physically fit once the radiator is in. Any suggestions? Thanks fellas! Money is no option, I'm going to build this car the right way once lol

We are not exactly sure what you're asking here. What about the TC78 won't be enough? And do you want input on fitting a BW behind the radiator? Would probably help to know what car its going in to give a straight answer on that.

The car in the Sig pic. I just don't want to go through the Hassel of putting my car together to find out the turbo is in deed the weak link. I would like to drop in a BW T4 in there, but I gessnill have to do that after I get her lined up and see what it all does and go from there.

Get a S476 ET-R HO from Jose and MAKE it fit! It's a big Turbo, but the best option for a T4 unit.

I've heard great things about that turbo. Just out of curiosity, how do you think that'll hold up to a 370?

I would go 80mm at the least on a 370. The TC is wayyyyyy to small for a 370. What do you want out of the car?

I'm on the mobile site, it doesn't show signatures.

Nobody can recommend a turbo without knowing your goals. For someone to say a TC78 is too small for a 370 is blasphemy. Size the turbo according to what you want out of it, not your engine.

This will STRICTLY be a roll car. High RPM with boost all the time. Weekend car. Not looking for 1k rwhp. I'd be VERY happy with 8-900.

Thanks fellas

The S476 would be pretty damn sweet on a 370. Hell a guy ran 8.2X with one in R/S trim.

If there is a option for billet in a S400SX-80 in a T4...go that route. But just know the 800-900 hp range is just in its sweet spot. Any BW unit from s475-80 will get where you need. Quite honestly just call Jose up at forced inductions and ask. He will know for sure

It's not exactly that the TC78 would be too small for the 370, but since you said money is no option, why not just redo the crossover pipe for a T6 flange and run a T6 80mm or even an 88mm turbo? Then you will know for SURE that you "have enough" for your setup.
