Default TT manifolds?

Thinking about using either truck or Ls3 camaro manifolds for my twin 427 build probably be making around 1k HP will they handle that kinda of power and by using mani's VS tube headers will i be giving up allot of power?

Lots of guys making power way up there with truck manifolds. its honestly not worth changing to tube style manifolds until you either plan to fan them for custom figment or you're cresting well over 1000whp.

Either one of the cast factory exhaust manifolds will easily make well over 1k rwhp. Unless you're going all out and trying to break a record, then you'll need a set of custom build turbo headers.

I plan to make around 1000rwhp and the mani's tuck up nice and tight which i like and i dont like the price tag of custom headers though they do look pretty!

If you mean the ports you could have theme extrude honed. If you mean just making them look pretty a ceramic coat would do that and help with heat retention.

Truck manifolds have made over 1500whp on a single setup. They work great and weld great. Unless you want weight savings, no real reason to use anything else. Wrap them if you don't like how they look.

Some good info in here on how smoothed out manifolds look like with coating.

Might just have to try a set and see how they fit what years have the least amount of junk on them and are truck manifold's symmetrical?
