Default Nothing but Greatness from Quick Performance!!!

Just wanted to give a quick review of Mike at Quick Performance out of Iowa. Always quick to answer to my emails and has great support! If you're looking for a great quality 9" don't hesitate to call and order, can't beat their prices either.

I'll be posting pics once I get my rear end installed!

Did you buy just their housing package, or also a center section also? I am curious to know if anyone has had any luck with their "reconditioned third member" for $399.99?

Save and get a strange or moser. Reconditioned one is OEM ford junk. I had one lol

the case itself is the weakpoint, a mild h/c set up with an auto and it might live. throw a six speed in the mix and it'll break, just a matter of time. Better off waiting a bit and save up a few bucks for the strange/moser case then to buy something that will inevitably break. hope this helps.

Yes it helps a lot thanks! I have gone round and round on looking at and pricing rear ends. I thought I had found a $2300 set up until you told me that lol. I guess the saving will continue

The stock Ford center section has a weak rear pinion support that is prone to cracking, if not caught in time it can take out the ring and pinion. They are also not as ridged as a Moser, Strange, Yukon etc which shortens gear life. They are not recommended for performance use.

Carl is right, you get what you pay for. Bob

I should have been more clear, I never said I got a stock center. Got a Yukon aluminum through bolt from MWC, but the housing from Quick Performance. Gave both some business. I don't see one thing wrong with the Quick housing! Welds are great, and they have control arm relocation/drain/fill all included in the base price.

Not bashing anyone else's product. I'm in external sales and I know the price point issues and "getting what you pay for." Just giving them a good review since they treated me fairly and promptly on everything.

It would be nice if people on here bought from the sponsors on this board. You would be surprised how much money we pay every month to keep this forum up and running. Bob

I'm sure you guys pay enough to sponsor this and we appreciate it. I priced out all options, sponsor or not, and for the features I wanted they were the company I chose and have nothing bad to say about them! I know I would have been happy with you as well Bob, but the price difference was enough for me.

I do need a forged 32 spline 1350 yoke, ya got one of those?

quick performance's reconditioned center sections are intended for dirt track racing or low horsepower applications , they do not recommend them for drag racing applications. They sell and can set up center sections for any power level. Stock 9 inch center sections are not strong.... after market ones are!

Hell was pressing the support bearing in before and the housing cracked. Good thing it did then and not on the track. Strange pro case now.

Good to hear. I am pricing out options on rears and have heard some good things about this company. I may have to check it out and see what they can do for me.

Have been looking at QP 9" for a while now, will be buying one here very soon. Sponsor or not seem to be great rears.
