Default World's Fastest True Stick Shitf Mustang; 8.58@165, 93 88mm Turbo Synchronized T56

Has anyone else seen this? Have I been lied to as to why I needed to get rid of my man pedal? Is it the weight of the F-Body that kills T56's and not the power?

Not that many kill a well built T56, but weight for that sort of thing is always a killer.

Just very few have any interest in retaining a manual gearbox.

Although that Mustang is bound to be pretty light

Tiago has broken the MOA T56s (well documented at that), face plated and all. That LX still has syncros and appears the be street driven if you look at the fuel mix

Well...faceplating as far as I understand involves welding stuff onto the gears. So I'd be more interested in what broke in those cases.

Faceplating wont make the actual gears any stronger, if anything due to the heating stands more chance of weakening them

As for fuel, he's mixing 94 and some race fuel. Not sure how that makes it street driven ?

I assumed the car drove there on 94 and mixed at the track, I also read that when it made a 9 sec pass some time back it was street driven.

Two Words. Real Man.

Major props to that guy. Are autos faster, more consistent? Yup. But there is a feeling that you get shifting gears that an AUTO cannot do. My AUTO cars have been faster but nothing has been more fun than my E30 M3 ls1 6 speed. That's a driver. He could get in any auto car and go fast but most racers would be lost in his..
