Default Going from 3.70s to 3.50

I would like to know, from those who may have went this route, how much of a difference did you see as-far-as cruising RPMs and drag strip performance. I'm running a F1A 403 in a 82 Monte Carlo and 4l80E trans with FTI 3600 stall. This is a 85-90% street car but I don't want to loose to much time when I "finally" get the bugs worked out and make a clean pass down the strip.

You won't notice any difference. 3.7 to 3.23 you will see a drop in RPM, but it isn't worth doing for what you are talking about.

I'm just trying to decide what to go with because if I stay with 3,70s in my new setup it will cost me an extra $235. I have a choice between 3.75 or 3.50 and I really don't want to go up (numerical) in gear size.

boost likes conservative gear ratios , with your F1a any ratio in the low to mid 3's should work great.

Lower ratios ( higher numerically) will spin up quicker which is great for NA where with a supercharger that makes awesome power under the curve has no need to get up to higher rpm's quickly -it doesnt need rpm's to start making power
