Default ID of fuel line

thinking of bending larger diameter hard lines instead of using braided lines. what diameter would be equivalent to -8 feed -6 return?

8 = 3/8
6 = 5/16

So it's not the rule of 16? 8 = 8/16 and 6= 6/16?

It is the 16th;

-6 is about 3/8
-8 is about 1/2

Some hose might run a little small so it fits tightly on the hose end.
