Default C5Z, 9.35 vids from last night..

No street race or kills but.... here is a couple vids (one in car, one from the stands) of my new PB from last night. First time out with the new combo, this was the 2nd full pass. 9.35@145, 1.36 60'... Weather was terrible. Shut the track down due to fog/water after this pass.

Full street trim setup/pump gas. Going back next Friday on kill... Hopefully some high 9.teens or 9.20s.

Click the link in the top of the box

Yes the MPH sux... showing 11.5% converter slip so I think I'm losing mph there. To be determined..

Thanks for watching.

Man that car flies!! Do you miss having the 6 speed transmission? I bet you dont miss breaking parts. haha

Have to give you props though. Its almost as fast as a bolt on 5.0.

Thanks guys! I'm working on it. Gonna try again this Friday night. Hopefully some better weather, and I'm gonna put another 50-60 rwhp in it and see what it does.

I'm hoping it will eventually go some 9 teens on good passes with it turned up...

I will say to a degree its disappointing though when you see all of these guys here running junkyard 5.3s and running 8s, and I have a good a ton of money in this thing and not near the performance....

It is what it is though....Just gotta work a little harder.

How is your new setup doing?

I hope to get back to the track once more before it closes for the winter. Weather is not cooperating though.

HAHA....The ONLY thing I miss about the 6 spd is the loss of mph(trap speed)... Other then that, the auto is better in every way... Hooks better both on digs at the track and rolls on the street, it never misses a gear, it shifts extremely fast and less shifts to boot...

The additional weight of the auto and all of the HD driveline parts I put in does suck, and I'm sure that hurt the trap speed some as well...Its atleast 100lbs heavier with the auto. Lastly getting the converter right is a PITA.... You can't just pull the tranny back and drop the converter out like on a F Body when the stall needs adjustment... I'm about to have to pull the drivetrain out AGAIN to adjust the converter and I'm not happy about it.

The car definitely "felt" faster with the stick, especially on the street.... But the slip don't lie... I knocked 6 tenths off with the auto and its not even dialed in yet.

The only other down side is it has no top end speed now... 160 mph at 7200 rpms on 28" tires is all it has.... So if youre into top speed runs or just high speed freeway rolls, stay with the 6 spd or do a 4l80e so you can use 4th.

Cool man... Hit me up if you come down. You have Bret's old setup right? That thing cleaned house on Bret's car at the TI event...

I wish I had done a YSi instead of an F1R.... Much less parasitic loss...

No doubt your car will make 1k at the tires.

Yeah I have his old ysi 10rib setup along with his old fuel setup. Maybe the heads will get me close to that 10xxhp he was pumping out.

OH yeah no doubt... His car made 1060rwhp with that kit. I was with him at TI in early 2012 and he was cleaning house... He went like 5 rounds with that kit, finally losing to a TT GTR;.... He beat the DP TT lambo tho..

I knew he sold the kit to a "local" cat.... just figured out it was yours...congrats... Your car is gonna fly with it once you turn it up. I ALMOST bought that very kit but I already had an A&A kit and it was cheaper to upgrade head units.

My next upgrade will either be an F1x or go single turbo from Lethal Perf.

Can't go wrong with either. Both will make some great power. Thinking about letting lethal retune my car for 2k or LMR since they use efi live. Then I wouldn't have to buy hp tuners to switch tunes out.

HAHA.... Yeah the stick was fun to drive around town but sucked for racing and traction. I couldn't do **** with it. I tried 3 different sets of tires and it would blow any of them off in 3rd from a 70 mph hit... Not to mention it was tough to shift it fast, I couldn't power shift it as it was just too tight and notchy...

The auto is just point and shoot.... Speaking of, I made a hit yesterday on the street taking a buddy for a ride and this time we had some 50* air and I had put some Q16 in it as well as bumped the timing up to 17*....It pulled NOTICEABLY harder in 3rd then it was pulling at the track, and that was with a 180lb passenger....Definitely feels like it gained some decent power with the cool air, oxygenated fuel and some timing... I can't wait to test it again at the track. Probably be in January though.... That's a long wait...

I have a new converter on the way, I hope to get it in there in the next couple weekends.. Hopefully back to the track in January and shoot for some 9.teens@150 or so... HOPEFULLY...
