Default WTF, GM guy says they don't sell injector o-rings!!!

i plan on installing my intake this weekend and went to purchase new o-rings for the injectors, 2000 ss w/75,000 miles.
anyway the guy tells me that i have to buy the whole injector, i called b.s. but to no avail.
he said they only offered them for 97 and down vehicles

are the o-rings the same for 97 and down as for my 2000?

thanks , vince

Bs!!!
im looking at my injectors right now, and they are definitely normal everyday O-rings. They look just like the Orings I just replaced on a 93 TA, bought a pack of them at AdvanceAuto
go back in there and pimpslap him, then go somewhere else and get them to match a set up with yours
btw, where in the hell did you go?

Guys they dont sell Orings specific for the LS1. I have gone to tons of places and in their "computers" it doesnt show anything. They just dont know enough to realize it is just like every other O-ring. The good old days of the parts guy know about cars is LONG gone. Most of the parts guys out there now only know where to find the parts on the shelf and sometimes that is a stretch.

Mic the oring and just go buy one from anywhere. Sorry but I forget the sizes.

ssvincels1 - I don't know who you dealt with at Monument, but I know there are some good guys there. One of our member's is a technician there. If you have a PN#, they can look it up that way. O-Ring's are availiable over the counter at most places like O'Riley's etc...

The last intake gasket set I bought for an lt1 had them in it.
It was from Felpro but I don't recall the p/n

It was under 20 bucks tho

I wasnt saying all parts guys are but the majority of them are idiots.

$66.50 is a ton of money for 8 orings though.

I paid like 8 dollars at autozone for a set of 8. Told him that they were for a ford 5.0 90' since they are the same size as LS1.

I think for a fuel application, the o-rings might be Viton, instead of common Buna-N.
imho,
John
