Default 2000 Camaro SS (6 speed) rear end(?) noise when backing up/turning.

It sounds like "clunking" noises, almost like there is some sort of drive-shaft play. When I back up and/or turn either direction, it makes those noises. Not sure how to explain how they sound, but it sounds pretty blunt, not grinding noises or whining noises. I'm sure some of you have shifted into gears a little rough and you hear the clunk noise from the drive-shaft, that's what it sounds like except it's continuous when I back up or making turns. I'm starting to think it's wheel hubs but I don't hear anything when I drive in a straight line. Also thinking it might be the shocks, I just want to know if this has happened to any of you before. I did some Google searches and it seems quite common but mostly for "grinding" noises.

Any help or insight will be appreciated.
