I have a friend with a 94 z28, he's got LT & ORY, with a Holley intake and a lid right now. He bought a set of Brodix heads and plans to install a cam along with the heads. He's telling me the he'll have over 550 hp, I told him he's crazy he might get close to 450hp if he's lucky. What do y'all think? He's not sure what cam he's going with yet, it will be matched with the heads though.

Oh yeah it's an a4 with a 2500 stall and 410 gears in a factory rear if that helps.

A 550 hp h/c 350 with a a 2500 TC does not sound like a happy marriage.
I'd say you're right ....... 450 IF he's lucky.

I'm not sure on the intake but he said he was putting a twin 58mm TB on it. I want to say the heads are Brodix 190's but I could wrong. But really what HCI package will net 550hp on a stock bottom end motor without a power adder?
