Default fuel rail fittings options

I tried with the search but not getting what I'm looking for. I need to convert the 3/8 and 5/16 steel lines at the intake(5.3) to 8an and 6 an. Not a big fan of the russel push on fittings (even there redesigned ones). Has anybody used any thing else like compression fittings from earl? or maybe welded an fittings to the lines. I want to do this once and never worry about it again !!!!! Bob

Have you considered using the stock engine hose and section of the stock donor vehicle line? That way you can cut the line where you want and flare it to AN. Form there you can run a Tee fitting to a fuel pressure gauge or just connect to whatever line you are running back to the pump.

I've used a fitting from Pure Choice Performance and it has been on various cars since 2003, without any issues.

Russell also makes a quick disconnect fitting to AN that is not the push on style. I prefer these over the push on. There are a few other manufacturers that make the same thing as well.

Although short, the stock Vette braided hose with factory steel clips is quite good. You'll need the same swaged tube to connect to the opposite end. Stock hose (like an Fbody) is nice too because it uses retaining clips to hold the quick disconnct fittings in place.

Look up Fragola part numbers 581806 & 581906 these are tubing nuts & sleeves. You slide the nut & sleeve on the hard line then flair it so it will mate with an AN fitting.

I have used these many times modifying stock fuel lines to braided stainless lines with great success. Summit carries them.

Good luck
