Default low profile catalytic converter? steel or ceramic?

anybody know of a low profile cat? all of them seem to be 4" thick..
I want one that is 3" in and out and 3" thick.
is everyone using steel substrait instead of ceramic?

I bought mine from Magnaflow, but they are a 4" center, wish they didnt make a 3" strait design, but i dont think they would flow that well, hence why they are all 4" in the middle.
