Default Just a little discussion about the chinese GT45 and the T76 and their best use...

Looking to get a discussion going on the best use (and supporting mods) for each turbo and their compressor/turbine size on different size/stroke engines ...

The GT45 has a smaller compressor and a larger turbine (69/77) while the T76 is the opposite (76/65)

Some of the things I would like to see discussed are...

Is one better for the 4.8 ? (short stroke)

How about the 5.3 ? (longer stroke)

Does stroke/piston speed come into play and is there a difference in exh velocity between the two engines at the same boost level ?

If so, how would that effect driving the two different turbine sides ?

What about cam events...

What would be best for each turbo and engine stroke ?

Which engine/turbo combo would run into back pressure issues first ? Last?

How about which combo would run out of boost first ? Last ?

What about ign. timing ? Do the different strokes and or turbos require more/less timing for a given boost/octane?

And any other questions we can come up with...

RULES......

Keep it civil.

Hard data/facts... trump theory/opinion...
(but l would love to hear everybody's theories and opinions)

Have fun.
