Magna flow or Flowmasters
I'm about to get the exhaust installed, I'm between the 2 exhaust. I have stock ls-1 in a 51 Chevy truck. I do not want anything loud !! nice sound and performance but not a race truck ?? I don't want to go between 10,000 exhaust. What is your recommendations ? Thanks

The FM is a chambered style muffler, and the Magnaflow is a straight through design. They both have their own destinctive sound. Personally I like the sound of a good chambered muffler, but they don't flow as good in general.

Flowmaster true duals with the 10 series race mufflers sounds amazing. I have an X pipe to cut down on drone, perfect sound. Forget the 80 series and go with magna flow if just ordering a off the shelf catback.

If sound is a main concern, magnaflow may be the way to go. The cross flow technology in FM mufflers create a louder sound IMO. Everybody likes to knock FM but I love mine and it's been on the car since 2004 and has seen plenty of the Midwest elements, still no rust. The variance of performance between the two is not going to be noticed, use what sounds best to you.
