I wouldn't call mine a sleeper but here is my build thread which fits your description. The car still has all of its options. https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...wer-build.html

If you search for other threads with my username, you will see some updates to the setup.

My kit could have AC but that **** is lame, so my alternator is down there. Stock-ish interior, factory radio etc.

Build is on LTXtech

You did your homework, and didnt cheap out on this build! Praise to you. Easily 1000+hp set-up. But im curious what that thing is capable of doing max effort. How much boost were you running with 700 to the wheel?

Many thanks for the compliments. I was running 15 psi initially and made a hair over 700 to the tire. I revised the intercooler setup and went to a smaller blower pulley. At 19 lbs, I saw very minimal gains at the hp peak but gained a bunch down low and through the midrange. I may be at my limitations of the mild cam which has great drive-ability. I had a roudy cam in my old heads, cam setup which sounded nasty but was kind of annoying to commute with while dealing with a spec stage 3 clutch.

Look up Jeff Green's 96 Impala, Well over 150mph in the quarter full weight Impala with the safety gear and blower so actually overweight. Even still has the ABS.

The block is a Donovan aluminum converted to accept all things LT1 the opti and waterpump, stock computer. Would be an 8 second car if he didn't have a 8.5" 10-bolt and 4L60E causing him to bring the power in slowly.

Does he still have that car? Lots of work adapting that block to LT1 stuff. Impressive car.

Pretty sure the conversion was done years ago, and there are those who like the LT1 platform? I dunno. Why you stay with LT1 instead of going 5.3, bruh?????

5.3's are cheeeep!
All you needed was junkyard motor, slap your blower shyt on there and you'd be running faster than you are now.... wait.. you haven't run yet. The **** is wrong with you?

We are all stupid for racing anything but nitromethane big blocks in rails.

smallblocks, gasoline, production car based cars at the track are all self imposed handicaps.

Maybe. I could have probably had a heads/cam LS3 swap in my ride by now with as much as I've spent but I enjoy the sound, character and power delivery of the LT1. Just personal preference.
Most everyone knows by now that LSx stuff is undoubtedly faster dollar for dollar.

As for boosted 700rwhp street setups, yea been done many times over the years with these cars. You don't see as many being done like that anymore though, because most people who have the means to build high-dollar setups have gone to newer cars and the LSx platform. To do a setup like that these days, you're essentially taking a car worth 4-7 grand and dumping 15-20 grand into it to have a car, albeit very fast, that's only worth 10-15k at the most, if you can find a buyer. Very fast F-bodies, both LTx and LSx routinely surface for sale these days in classifieds for a fraction of what they cost to build and not much more than a clean, low-mile stocker would bring.
Not that hot-rodding anything ever really made much financial sense anyway though.

Yeap looked at that build a while back on the ellwein’s site. Anyone who is an LTx enthusiast would know its worth. Anyone outside of the LTx circle would just look at it as another build. The aluminum block looks purty on top of the unique main caps and dry sump system.

Does anyone know how much that thing was making? Curious if a LTx sleeve block would handle more boost than a stock cast iron one. The block alone must be around the same cost as a 383 stroker id imagine. Seems like if there was an LS7 version of the LT this would be it. LT7 436ci

Heres the link for those interested.
