Default LS1 Camaro Valve Train Noise & Questions

Okay Well last sunday went out with a couple buddy doin some dig races, & Did some 1st gear high rpm shifts (like 5500) & after a couple run we were going to another spot & I noticed a Loud Ticking?! Thinkin my wheel was loose maybe slapping the rotor I pulled off.. Well wasnt the wheel but when i reved passed 2000 rpms i noticed the noise.. I took her home doing 1500 rpm shift & parked her since..Im pretty sure a lifter has broke & my car runs fine (Minus the Noise) So This is My DD & Im pretty strapped for cash.. So I really just want to get my car going till next january till I can afford a Cam & Intake & Some Valve Springs.. I Want to order this Just want want another opinion before i start ordering parts..
