Default FI Noob looking to buy turn-key Procharged car

I'm considering buying this car.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicle-c...per-clean.html

The Cliff Notes of the build are as follows...

Powertrain Mods:

Procharger D1SC supercharger with big red blow off
valve Custom charge piping and front mount intercooler setup (not like the plastic dual setup)
LS6 intake
LS6 valley pan/PCV upgrade
Dual valve springs
Hardened pushrods
1 7/8 Kooks Long tube Headers
Y-pipe with Cut-out before axle
Mufflex 3.5" catback
Custom fuel setup w/ twin pumps in-tank
Vac ref'd fuel pressure regulator
60lb injectors
NGK TR6 plugs
Ported TB EGR & PCV removed (vented breather filters installed on both sides)
Remaining parts of the engine are stock

Drivetrain:

Twin disc clutch
New hydraulics with adj master
T56 gone through by D&D - upgraded blocker rings, 3-4 shift fork, etc.
SLP Linelock (switch in ashtray) Dana S60 rear end w/ TrueTrac and 3.55 gears
ARP Wheels studs
Clutch wired to start car without engaging. (easy undo if not wanted)
Suspension:

SLP spring/shock combo
BMR Lower Control Arms
BMR Subframe connectors
Panhard rod
Aftermarket Sway Bar
Track pack torque arm

Current best of 11.30 @122mph (1.6x short on slicks)
Current set up Dyno'd 487rwhp / 460tq at 7psi

I'm posting here with permission from the seller to ask what steps would need to be taken to get the boost up (maybe 10-11lbs??) with the ultimate goal of getting the car solidly in the 10's at maybe 126-128mph

I'm aware pushing a stock shortblock that hard is always a gamble even with proper supporting mods...with that in mind what would I need to do to give it a fighting chance? Just throw a pulley on it and go? Fuel system upgrades?

Also, generally how much rwhp/tq/ET/MPH is each additional psi worth?

Please keep this thread respectful...I'm asking for help making an informed decision...not looking to bash on the seller's car.

I would look in to upgrading the J bracket to a SDCE or the ASTER, so belt slip isn't a issue with smaller pulleys. Add a meth injection kit and a smaller pulley and get her retuned. With a safe tune the stock bottom end will handle 550-600hp. That should be enough for you 1/4 goals. It looks like he's got some good supporting mods already, Good luck.

Smaller pulley, method, and a tune. Squeeze another 150 out of it.

few more questions...

What if the meth kit fails? Are they pretty foolproof?

Would converting to E85 be safer than meth? Would converting to E85 be as simple as a retune, or would the fuel system need expensive changes?

Currently at 7psi...how much more boost is needed to hit my goal? Need to drop half a second and pick up about 5mph. Not trying to MAX the combo...just want to hit the goal as reliably as possible.

As for the blower cam, what kind of gains could be expected on a combo like this? Remembering my goal could a simple cam swap cover that?

Thanks for your help fellas

This car is local and a friends. I went over the car top to bottom after he purchased it and drove it from Michigan and could not find a thing that needed attention. Car drives like stock, makes great power, and is unbelievably clean inside and out. Whoever built this car did a tremendous job. Fwiw the dyno numbers were on our mustang dyno here at the shop when he asked me to look at the car.

The car is FULL weight +. Aftermarket stereo/amps, 6pt bar, custom seats, all factory amenities, etc. A pulley swap will get you tens @ 125-127(been bugging him to do it since he bought the car). You could put it on a diet to help.

This is one of the cleanest, most well put together street cars I have seen in person. Honestly I hate to see it leave Tallahassee

I think it looks awesome and I'm confident it's built right. I'm currently in a flat 11 second n/a car but it's more of a race car...this car seems like it's gonna be a fun street ride.

My only goal here is to determine the cost of getting it in the 10's...

Pulley to 11-12#'s and go 2bar on the tune, not much cost if you can tune it yourself

Car looks great! Smaller pulley is all it needs for 10's, very easy.

74u are you set on that car or just looking for a procharged car in general? I know a guy that is considering selling his procharged formula if you are interested, send me a pm and I'll get you in contact with him. He's a good friend of mine and known around the forum by some.

Also in Texas so fairly local
