Default Battery cover bling......

This was "borrowed" from "BernieBlackBird" from the other board.....the stock Red plastic color was too much to look at, 3 coats of NBM and 3 coats of clear. The lettering is not perfect, it's a pain in the *** to get it looking like a real decal, but it turned out good enough for me, and at a total of $25 for all of it......you can't beat it.....

link for color matchng from Duplicolor..... http://duplicolor.anthonythomas.com/...atch_maker.cgi

battery cover..... http://www.powerstridebattery.com/st...EN=80208110=10

and the chrome tape came from AutoZone, look in the decal section....

pics.....

Looks great. How close does NBM from Duplicolor match the stock paint?

Yea, the idea was implanted while staring all those hours at "The Icon"......but the Chrome Optima stuff was Bernies......but I'm sure you would have done that given more "ownership" time with the "B-Mobile"......

Yep, Bernie kicked butt with that "chrome decal" mod.. sweet idea

But i wouldn't have done it for two reasons: 1. the chrome wouldn't have looked as good on Pewter as it does on NBM 2. I hate to advertise for someone if I can help it (the Mobil 1 plaque was an exception )

You car is coming along very nicely!

did you use any primer before you painted the cover??
How's the paint holding up now that you've had some time to drive with it?
