Default Ls1 air intake modification.

I have a 1999 z28. I will be changing the nose to the 1993-1997 nose. The ls1 air intake sits on top. But the lt1 hood will not close when I do the swap. where do I start the bend to dump left front ? do I start modifying at the intake or after the mass air flow ?

Maybe he likes the way they look. Why do you have to hate? I have a 97'. I like the way they both look. Plus, he's asking a question on how to do something. If you can't help him, don't chime in.

You should only have to modify your hood. (If you are able to) I have a 97' with an LS swap. I do have a 3" cowl from VFN, but all I did was cut the front of the hood where the intake it, since the LT's frame is a bit higher than the LS's. That's the only thing I did to make it work.

Something like this might work for you. I went from 97 to 98+ front end but adopted my own CAI as the front rad support on the 93-97 aren't flat for the lid application.

hope this helps.

Christian.
