PP Stage ll LS1 heads $999.99!?!?!? Was on TSP's website and noticed that they have the PP stage 2 5.7l ls1 heads listed as "new lower price" 999.99......perimiter bolt patern(97-98)......whats the deal? they just offering heads for us 98 guys cheap as hell or something????just because theyre 98 style heads? is there any differnece as far as flow numbers or anything other than the bolt pattern?? Hell this almost seems too good to be true. Anyone have any feedback on these heads???

i've got these heads. they flow about the same as the 5.3 heads, but dont add compresson. with the 5.3 heads on your 98 you will need new valve covers and coil packs.-an extra $300+the 5.3's are an extra $300. buy the 5.7 heads and have them mill em.(its no charge) i bought their 224r cam and stg 2 5.7 heads(milled .030) with all gaskets and bolts for $1550 shipped. car made 398 rwhp/385rwtq and went 12.0@115 in a a4 vette.

It really is a good deal. I almost ordered a set for my '98, but ended up getting a whole '01 car.... 
I think they said somthing about having alot of cores and not many people pick up the perimiter bolt heads, since they were only offered in '97 and '97 and alot of people switch to centerbolt or 5.3 heads

I have a stock set I would sell...
I ground them to fit my harland sharp rockers and ground through on one of them...
FYI - gen 3 perf. is gonna be making some aftermarket valve covers for the perimeter bolt heads within the next month and i will be picking up a set...
