Default Is this s400 BW unit too big or too small for a Ls1? confused

Soo ive been trying to figure this out all morning and now im a little pissy because i have wasted A LOT of time only to fail, lol.

I have a stock headed/bottom end Ls1, brutespeed blower cam, ls6 intake, ARP head and rod studs, 6 speed, 3.90s, in a 2500lb car w/ driver. My goal would be to tune to 650ish and then run mainly on the first stage @ 550whp. I will build a forged engine in the future, need to get the setup running solid first! For comparisons sake, I know a TC76 will spool very quickly and a pt88 would be a little laggy, but im okay with having lag. The car doesnt weigh anything to where lag isnt as noticeable like in a heavier car. Soo im looking at this BW s400 unit: S471 Turbocharger
Compressor wheel - 71.06mm/101.45mm 95lbs/min
Turbine wheel - 77.5mm/87mm (which measurement determines actual size? Inducer or Exducer?)
Compressor inlet - 5" hose Ported Shroud
Compressor outlet - 4" v-band
Turbine Inlet - Divided T4 MUST SPECIFY .90 1.00 1.10 A/R
Turbne outlet for 4" v-band

IS this unit slightly smaller than a PT88 which is rated at 120lbs/min and then slightly larger than a TC76, correct? OR am i way off? I wouldnt even bother to post this thread because i would simply choose another PT88, but for $700 you cant beat these BW units. For the record, i did have a PT88 prior, but sold it due to it being damaged.

Thanks to anyone that helps send me in the correct direction.

Go to forcedinductions.com or send dr.turbo a message on here he will be able to get you straight on a bw turbo. If it was me I would do a s475 96 1.32 housing for $650 from him and not look back. It will do everything you want it to do and more. Take the money you save on the turbo and get a came spec'd to maximize you combo.

The 471 is capable of 550whp, so what exactly makes it too large or small? If it'll meet your power goals, run it.

An S475 can be had new for 650 or so and is rated to about 1000 HP at the flywheel.

The compressor wheel is smaller than the PT88 but the compressor housing is bigger. The BW is a Bigger turbo footprint wise but supports less HP compressor wise.

I cant run a 1.32 on a T6, those housings are gigantic, im limited on space for the turbine housing. Plus i cant fit 5" DP and dont have the room to step it down to 4" either. It has to be a t4 with a 1.01 or 1.10 and 4" exhaust... I need to spin the engine to 7,000 and without having it sign off early which would be better?

what i meant was i guess too small for when i build a forged engine. I would rather have it be larger and laggy.

Thanks for the replies guys, the S475 on a T4 sounds like what im looking for. Which A/R 1.01 or 1.10 would carry power till 7k RPM?

1.10 is gonna be your best bet and give you a little room to grow.
