Default Melted steering intermediate shaft/knuckle!!

hey so I need some advice here... my turbo piping melted the rubber out of the steering knuckle!! I ordered a new one, but it is going to melt again! any advice? ideas?

any companies make aftermarket ones?

I tried to weld it, but one part is steel, one part is aluminum... obvious problems

Go get some header wrap and wrap your hotside piping. It'll cut down temps greatly.

So have you any heat management in place at all ?

if not, then obviously you're going to keep melting things

Well I guess you could dismantle it, remove any rubber and weld it back together.

Or have a new section fabricated.

Doesnt look like it would be that difficult to do.

A little odd for steering parts to be aluminium, especially a UJ like that

You can buy universal UJ's for motorsport applications, so I guess you could just fabricate a complete new piece

If it's the top one, it looks to have a rubber section too.

A common piece on a lot of cars, although I have heard of some replacing it with solid.
