Default Ok I want another Cts-v Found 2 which one

i found 3 cts-v at a locally and idk which one is "better".

One is an 05 with 36k miles. Vehicle is silver black interior with Factory chrome wheels. and has borla exhaust.

and the other is an 04 with 20k miles. Vehicle is All black with standard wheels.

07 with 60k miles all black and stock.

there only about 500 bucks apart so that doesnt really have an effect.

all look great and have been taken care of. im leaning with the lower miles but the newer diff would be nice.

thank you

I would personally go for the 04 or 05

Id do the 05 personally, i like that color combo and the chrome wheels and borla add a little value to the buy. No point in doubling or tripling the mileage with the 07 which could mean a need for motor, trans, and diff mounts a lot sooner.

The 04 or 05 because of the mileage. There's not a lot of low mileage cars for sale around. Many ~100k miles. Less wear and tear overall.

In my opinion, all three cars will need all of those parts right away regardless of the mileage.

What's the asking price? Them all being within $500 doesn't mean much. If the 07 is selling at or near market value, I would argue the 04 and 05 could be over priced. Economics alone, the 05 sounds like the best deal, especially if an exhaust is on your mod list.

.
I guess it depends on the person. I had 67k on my 05 and had all stock mounts and really didnt have a single complaint. The car was solid and even the guy that bought it said it was the best riding and driving cts-v he had driven.

Mix and match. Tell the dealer you want the 07 with the chrome wheels and borla off the other cars.

Low mileage 04... I guarantee my low mile 04 is in nicer condition throughout than any 07 with triple the miles, and all the same issues will be addressed sooner or later with all of them so why take more miles right off the bat. Unless color combo is the hang up, that's a different story.

What he^ said. The 07 were the rarest ones, and they have the LS2 so...more options for heads, cubic inch etc etc.

If you plan to do any engine work I would go with the 07. All of them IMO will need the usual motor, trans and diff mounts regardless of age or mileage. That said, ask to put all of them on a lift and look for brown fluid seeping out around the mounts. I did this when I picked up my 05 and got the dealer to replace both motor mounts and trans mount before I took the car off the lot. They only agreed to replace them with stock stuff but hey, one less thing you need to address right away.

Also wouldn't the 07 have the gen4 diff by default, where the others may not?

Drive them and pick I guess. I think we're all lucky in that it is a tough choice because both the LS6 and LS2 cars both have very happy owners and are evenly matched. Since you had an 04 check out the 07 first to see what you think. It seems in 06 they fixed the rear, bigger axles, upgraded rear bushings for less wheel hop, fixed the oil temp problem, volume control on the steering wheel and you get the 6.0.
