Default texas go pro guys

I am looking at buying a go pro. Anyone have one any issues with the Texas heat or blowing off the fender or where ever you mount it.

the go pro hero3 has the same app, you can turn off/on plus view live video stream and pics from the app. its also much thinner this time around.

Ive never had a problem or seen a gopro fall off a car during a drag race. as long as you get the proper suction cup attachment you will be fine.

I don't know that many on here use them, but several of my friends in the off road racing world have been using the Contour camera's and like them better than the GoPro's. I don't know how they work for your application, but they might be worth looking at.

I have had the Contour mounted on my Jeep when out rock crawling and bouncing down the trail with no problems, but that is a little different than the wind resistance at high speeds.

Just make sure you mount it to a clean, solid surface; not a bumper. Ask me how I know.

Look up comparison videos, the sony picture quality is much better. I freaking love mine and had no issues. Not to mention its much cheaper 200-300 bucks depending where you find it.

make sure you watch in HD

GoPro battery life sucks... especially if you have WIFI on for use with the phone app or remote. If I wasn't so invested in GoPro accessories now I'd go Sony

ive got the hero 2 and battery life is amazing. the hero 2 has the same video quality of the hero 3 white and silver edition. the black edition is where its at.

i had zero issues going to 150mph in my stock z28. a bit of wind noise but thats to be expected.

those video comparisons dont seem right, the gopro has a wide FOV like the left side of the screen and from my video it looks bright like that. maybe the hero 3 is different or they just fucked up the settings but the video quality is definitely not that bad.

no comparison but its not nearly as bad as the previous video comparisons. i shot this with the adhesive mount underneath my car attached to my underbody. i havent uploaded my 150mph run because it was pretty uneventful and a lot of wind noise. and this is only the hero 2 the H3 black is supposed to be 100times better

^^^^ Exactly

I bought the skeleton case with access holes in the side so I can keep it plugged up all the time.
Then after a long recording and unplugging, it will be completely dead and need a charge. The damn thing can't even record and keep a charge while plugged in.
