Default I just finished putting newer model CTSV wheels on my 04 :)

I just finished installing my 2010 Cts V wheels on my 04 CTSV
I have been working on this since summer. I purchased a used set of polished wheels that had some corrosion on them so I decided to have them powdercoated black. Let me know what you guys think.
Here is my original post last night. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...l#post11488465

Here is a video I took of the car

Dude that looks hot!

I posted about this swap on another forum a year or so ago and got very little interest but i bet seeing them on the car will change a few minds!

This swap seems a little involved. You need to do a writeup!!!!!!!

Thanks, It seems like everyone asking if it could be done had to wear a flame proof suit because everybody said it couldn't be done. I am a big fan of newer model wheels on older model cars. I did a lot of research online and didn't find much help at all. I figured if I worked at it I could figure it out.

OEM wheels are usually very well made and i think these fit the styling of the V1 very well.

No spacers on the back and just an 8mm spacer on the front???

Again, that's sic....

Wow, looks great. I'd love to pick up a set of polished ones and slap them on.

Yup, I am currently running an Advanced Auto spacer
I'd like to find a good quality corvette spacer that fits the hub correctly. The spacers will be replaced for sure.

Me TOO!! I wanted polished ones so bad but I got them for $500 and powdercoated them for $325. To tell you the truth I wouldn't have found a good set for that much! Im pretty sad about them being black but they look better in person.

Haha I wish. Im so broke. I shouldn't even be able to buy a V. My wife wants me to sell it. I told her no way! The only way I'm selling that thing is if they are ready to take my house. Even then I'd have to think about it. LOL

Looks good! But like Onefast said, find a way to lower that 4x4! It would really set everything off perfectly!

Awesome mod!
Do you have any pictures of the mods you did to the rotors and wheels?
You said you had to get longer lug nuts so you could get more than three turns? Do you mean you needed longer wheel studs?

Can you confirm or do a write-up on exactly what you did and which hubs you got? C5 hubs and what type of brake rotors? Stock calipers work fine? thanks and yes it looks great. What size tires do you have?

Think its C5 hubs. Looked up a 2006 vette
Stock 2010 v tires
Front 255/40/19
Rear 285/35/19

Yup I could do that but have to wait till I have time to do it. I have Pregger wife due in a month with our 4th Child, and work long hours. Ill do my best.
Camaro SS front and rear rotors with centerbore cut out to fit on the vette hubs. Stock calipers work fine. Just need to add a washer between rear caliper and spindle to space it out a bit so the caliper doesn't contact the rotor. Also had to trim the rear backing plate, and the parking brake no longer works.

Nope longer extended thread lug nuts. These are the exact ones I used. You only need them in the front.

So 2006 Vette hubs would be C6. Very nice that actually answered most of my questions. I had heard rumors about the parking brake issue in another thread. I'm not interested in doing this at this point in time but knowing how is something on my list.
